Elite Goat Genetics (EGG) are one of New Zealand’s largest producers of goat milk.  We provide genome accelerated productivity services, through the supply of goat genetics to help farmers increase herd productivity - the same farm, same feed, more production.

This is achieved through rigorous genomic selection and breeding strategies focused on accelerating herd productivity and improving overall animal health.  The result is a rapid increase in milk production with a compounding effect over years of application.

This is made possible through our advanced genomic SNP chip technology that encapsulates years of accumulated knowledge and insights, enabling a remarkable leap in productivity.   We work in partnership with Yorkshire Dairy Goats (UK) to develop superior genetics for the dairy goat industry.  This has involved testing 45,000 goats over 38 years to develop a superior strain of goat genetics.  Through this process we have developed a dairy goat breed that combines the strengths of all other breeds, and this is continually updated.  Our genetic technology creates a natural advantage for stronger, longer-living animals, with better health and productivity.
